I'm ready to play, today

It's kind of hard to know how to react when your significant other of the past seven years suddenly dumps you. Over facebook. Two weeks off of the big return home.

(And wow with the words right in front of me it really does sound ridiculous. Awful, but also ridiculous. I hate to sound all Rick Castle, but seriously there's no way I'd ever write that. Noone would have any sympathy for such a sucky boyfriend character, it's like a cardboard cutout cliche of craptasticness. What, that's totally a real word.)

But I think I've got it down. A day of shock and sympathy and a night of amazing food (and pie! Naomi bought me pie!), beer and the How I Met Your Mothers where Lily and Marshall are still broken up. Next a night of sheer fun and pleasure (and happy, happy dancing), then spending today in a hungover daze swearing I'm never drinking again.

I think I'm going to be just fine.

The sun came out today!
We're born again, there's new grass on the field
A-roundin' third and headin' for home- it's a brown eyed handsome man
Anyone can understand the way I feel!

Mmm, John Fogerty makes me happy.

Also, mostly unrelatedly, I have a reawakened crush on Leo D'Amato (played by Max Greenfield) from Veronica Mars. Is that weird? I think it's the smile mostly, this picture just makes me want to beam back at him.

Ha, I'm on the cover (with others, not just me!) of my dad's band's album 'Onwards and Upwards'...

Leo D'Amato kind resembles the strudel you poodled on Wednesday. Or the bratwurst that quenched your thirst. You're lucky I can't remember any other German foods at the moment and am too lazy to Google.

More BK, pie and beer tonight! :)

Sigh, I wish I'd had more energy to keep my eyes open, as that Sparkles debut was a classic. I think that was the moment I knew I had to commit to the show.

Ha. I was thinking there might have been a resemblance which sparked that thought chain... I think you should stick to talking about me in Indonesian though!

Pie! <3

I think the Sparkles debut may have been what made me fall in love with HIMYM too. It's not as funny when rewatching it though.
